AppVitals vs Luseri
AppVitals presents itself as a new home for teams leaving Mantle. It rebuilds revenue and churn from your Partner events, and adds App Store rankings, listing traffic through BigQuery, custom events, uptime checks and Slack alerts. Luseri covers revenue and App Store data too, with a different focus. Here is what each does, as described on their sites on October 21, 2026.

Where AppVitals is stronger
- Alert rules on installs, uninstalls, subscriptions, plan changes and churn, sent to Slack and up to 10 email addresses, with a daily report for each app.
- Listing traffic followed past the install: the BigQuery export is joined to your Partner data store by store, so each traffic source leads to trials and paying subscribers.
- Uptime monitoring: your app's routes are checked every minute, and incidents open and close on their own.
- A fuller custom-events tool, with a REST API, an npm client, a chart explorer, saved reports and alerts on any event.
- A ranking history shared by all its users, so popular keywords and categories come with their past positions as soon as you follow them. Category rankings refresh twice a day, and the Built for Shopify badge and "Featured in" placements are tracked too.
- A view of the whole App Store, with the fastest-growing apps, rating drops and new launches, from an index it says covers more than 27,300 apps.
- Unlimited team seats with owner and member roles, and separate workspaces for each client or company.
- A full price list known in advance: free under 1,000 dollars of MRR with every feature included, then from 15 dollars a month, and an App Store plan at 9.99 dollars a month that needs no revenue connection.
Where Luseri differs
- An AI assistant answers your questions from your own numbers and suggests what to do next. It runs on Claude, a model made by Anthropic, and you do not need an API key of your own. AppVitals' site does not mention AI.
- Listing traffic is read straight from your Google Analytics 4 with viewer access, without a BigQuery export or a Google Cloud project to set up. It shows the App Store searches that brought each visit, with the position your app held, by country and by language.
- Retention is read by install cohort, next to the reasons merchants give when they uninstall. AppVitals groups its cohorts by first subscription month, and gives uninstall reasons in its Slack alerts.
- A log records what changes on your listing and on your competitors' (name, plans, categories), and the competitor table puts entry prices next to ratings and ranks.
- Optional in-app tracking adds a health score for each store.
- The dashboard is available in English and in French.
- A read-only MCP server opens your numbers to your own AI assistant (Claude, Cursor, VS Code or another) with a personal token. AppVitals' site does not mention MCP access.
Which one to choose
Choose AppVitals if you want Slack alerts, uptime checks or a funnel that follows each traffic source to paying subscribers, or if you want to know today what you will pay once your revenue grows. Choose Luseri if you want to ask questions about your numbers and get advice, to read listing traffic without setting up BigQuery, or to keep a log of what changes on your competitors' listings. Both read your Partner account without changing it, so you can try them side by side.
Questions
- Is AppVitals free?
- Its pricing page says it is free while your apps earn less than 1,000 dollars of MRR a month, measured as a three-month average, with every report included. On the free plan, App Store tracking is limited to 3 apps, 3 keywords and 3 categories, unless you add its App Store plan at 9.99 dollars a month. Above 1,000 dollars, its billing documentation lists prices from 15 dollars a month that rise with your MRR (35 dollars from 3,000, 65 dollars from 10,000, up to 999 dollars below one million), with a 14-day free trial and taxes added at checkout (checked on October 21, 2026).
- How many keywords can AppVitals track?
- Up to 20 search keywords, 20 apps and 20 categories with the App Store plan or any paid tier, and 3 of each on the free plan. Keyword rankings are read once a day, and category rankings twice a day. Luseri follows your position on up to 20 keywords you choose, and the position of the apps you watch, read every day among the first 192 App Store search results.
- Do I need BigQuery to see my listing traffic?
- With AppVitals, yes: you link your listing's Google Analytics 4 property to BigQuery in a Google Cloud project, then give AppVitals read access to the dataset. Its documentation warns that the first export can take 24 to 48 hours. In return, AppVitals follows each install to trials and paying subscribers. Luseri reads your Google Analytics 4 directly, with viewer access, and shows listing views, Install clicks, confirmed installs and the App Store searches that brought each visit.
- Does AppVitals use AI?
- Its site does not mention any AI feature or MCP access on October 21, 2026. Its API is for sending data in (custom events, customer profiles and contacts), not for reading your metrics. Luseri has an assistant in the dashboard that answers questions from your app's numbers (revenue, merchants, retention, uninstall reasons, reviews, rank, competitors, listing traffic) and suggests what to do next. It runs on Claude, by Anthropic, and you do not need an API key of your own. It also has a read-only MCP server, so your own AI assistant can read the same numbers with a personal token.
- Can I use both at the same time?
- Yes. Both connect to your Shopify Partner account through an API client you create, and only read it.
