Fusionmetrics vs Luseri

Fusionmetrics is a revenue analytics tool for Shopify apps, run by its founder, Alexander Hupfer, who says he has built and acquired Shopify apps himself. Mantle's wind-down FAQ points to it for App Store data, yet its own site describes revenue, churn and trials, with your App Store reviews but no rankings. Around that core, it reads Stripe billing, joins listing traffic to revenue through BigQuery, sends Slack alerts, opens your data to your own AI assistant and sells a self-hosted edition. Luseri covers revenue too, and adds your App Store listing and the traffic it gets. Here is what each does, as described on their sites on October 21, 2026.

Where Fusionmetrics is stronger

  • Revenue figures you can audit: its public guides give the formulas for MRR, churn and trial conversion, you decide whether usage and one-time charges count in MRR, and a reconciliation view bridges Shopify's gross earnings and the MRR on the dashboard.
  • Three churn measures, on revenue, on subscriptions and on stores, each as plain, gross or net churn (net subtracts reactivations and upgrades), filtered by plan, with frozen subscriptions counted apart if you want.
  • A trials report with conversion and retention rates, the trials about to end, and a history you can export to CSV. Its guide, updated on October 9, 2026, says the report is still rolling out and opens from a link the team shares with you.
  • Stripe next to Shopify: Stripe billing matched to each Shopify merchant through the store's myshopify.com address, or a separate app for a product billed only through Stripe, in US dollars.
  • Mantle Flexibill annual fees, billed as Shopify usage charges, are recognized and counted as annual subscriptions in MRR. That matters if your app kept Mantle's billing scheme.
  • Acquisition tied to money: once your listing's GA4 data is exported to BigQuery, channels, campaigns and keywords are compared by installs and by the revenue they brought.
  • Slack messages on installs, uninstalls, trials and subscription changes, each app routed to the channel you pick, and push alerts in a free iPhone companion for hosted accounts, described in its support pages.
  • A self-hosted edition at 999 dollars once, with a year of updates, for teams that want the data on their own servers.
  • A published price: free up to 5,000 dollars of MRR, then 25 or 99 dollars a month, with a 30-day evaluation and no credit card to sign up.
  • A product in use, with founder-led support: its home page quotes three app developers who use it, with links to their posts on X, and offers setup help from the founder.

Where Luseri differs

  • Your App Store listing is in the dashboard: your position on up to 20 keywords you choose and the position of the apps you watch, read every day, your category rank recorded daily, up to six competitors side by side, a log of changes to your listing and theirs, and your reviews and rating over a year. Mantle's wind-down FAQ points to Fusionmetrics for App Store data, but on October 21, 2026 its site describes reviews, not rankings or keywords.
  • Listing traffic is read straight from your Google Analytics 4 with viewer access, without a BigQuery export to set up. It shows the App Store searches that brought each visit, with the position your app held, by country and by language. Fusionmetrics needs the BigQuery export for acquisition data.
  • Retention is read by install cohort, next to the reasons merchants give Shopify when they uninstall. Fusionmetrics measures churn over rolling 30-day windows and does not mention cohorts or uninstall reasons.
  • An AI assistant inside the dashboard answers your questions from your own numbers and suggests what to do next. It runs on Claude, a model made by Anthropic, and you have no API key to provide. Both tools also let you connect your own assistant through a read-only MCP server; with Fusionmetrics, that is the only way to ask questions about your numbers.
  • Optional in-app tracking adds a health score for each store, from what merchants do in your app.
  • A weekly report and an alert when uninstalls rise sharply arrive by email. Fusionmetrics sends its alerts to Slack and to its iPhone app.
  • The dashboard is available in English and in French. Fusionmetrics' site and documentation are in English.

Which one to choose

Choose Fusionmetrics if your priority is revenue figures you can reconcile with Shopify's, if you also bill through Stripe or used Mantle Flexibill, if you want Slack and phone alerts, or if you need to host the tool yourself. Choose Luseri if you want your App Store rankings, your competitors and your listing traffic next to your revenue, without setting up BigQuery, and an assistant that answers from your numbers inside the dashboard. Both read your Partner account, so you can try them side by side. Other tools are compared in the overview of Shopify app analytics tools.

Questions

Is Fusionmetrics free?
Up to a point. Its home page on October 21, 2026 says the hosted service is free up to 5,000 dollars of tracked MRR, costs 25 dollars a month between 5,000 and 10,000 dollars, and 99 dollars a month above that, with every plan including the same features. Above one million dollars of annualized revenue, it asks you to talk to the founder about an Enterprise plan. New setups get a 30-day evaluation once the first dashboard is ready, and signing up needs no credit card. The self-hosted edition costs 999 dollars once, whatever your MRR, and includes a year of new versions.
Does Fusionmetrics track App Store rankings or keywords?
Not according to its site on October 21, 2026. Mantle's wind-down FAQ, updated on July 2, 2026, points to Fusion Metrics and App Store Pulse for App Store data, but Fusionmetrics' home page and documentation describe revenue, churn, trials, merchants and App Store reviews, with no category rank, keyword rank or competitor tracking. Keywords appear only as the search terms found in your GA4 data, compared by installs and revenue. Luseri follows your position on up to 20 keywords you choose, and the position of the apps you watch, read every day among the first 192 App Store search results, along with your category rank, your reviews and up to six competitors.
Does Fusionmetrics use AI?
It opens your data to AI rather than building an assistant in. On October 21, 2026, its home page offers a read-only analytics MCP endpoint: you create a token in its settings, add the endpoint to a compatible assistant, and ask about your revenue data; the assistant cannot change your Shopify billing through it. Its founder's GitHub repository also holds a plugin for Claude Code and Codex, which adds help to optimize your App Store listing and to set up GA4 and BigQuery; on October 21, 2026, it said the plugin had been submitted for review on October 19, 2026 and was neither approved nor published. Luseri has an assistant in the dashboard that answers questions from your app's numbers (revenue, merchants, retention, uninstall reasons, reviews, rank, competitors, listing traffic) and suggests what to do next. It runs on Claude, by Anthropic, and you do not need an API key of your own. It also has a read-only MCP server, so your own AI assistant can read the same numbers with a personal token.
Do I need BigQuery to use Fusionmetrics?
Only for acquisition data. Revenue and billing come from your Partner account, and its FAQ says no tracking snippet is needed. To compare channels, campaigns and keywords by installs and revenue, you link your listing's GA4 property to BigQuery in a Google Cloud project, then give the account Fusionmetrics manages the BigQuery Data Viewer role on the export dataset; the hosted service needs no key file. Its guide notes that GA4 does not necessarily backfill activity from before the link. Luseri reads your Google Analytics 4 directly, with viewer access, and shows listing views, Install clicks, confirmed installs and the App Store searches that brought each visit.
Does Fusionmetrics have a mobile app?
Its documentation describes a free iPhone companion for existing hosted accounts, to check revenue, read merchant activity and reviews, and choose which events send a push alert. Its support page was updated on September 28, 2026, and its privacy policy, updated on October 18, 2026, describes the app. We could not find it by searching Apple's App Store on October 21, 2026. Luseri has no mobile app.
Is Fusionmetrics still actively developed?
Its blog has had no new post since February 3, 2024, but the rest of the site is recent: its guides on MRR, churn, trials and reviews were updated between September 20 and October 13, 2026, its privacy policy on October 18, and its AI plugin was submitted on October 19. Two of the developers quoted on its home page posted about it on July 18, 2026.
Is Luseri free?
Luseri is free for now. If it becomes paid, you will be told by email at least 30 days before, and nothing will be charged without your consent.
Can I use both at the same time?
Yes. Both connect to your Shopify Partner account with an API access you create in your Partner dashboard, and Luseri only reads it.
